Agar is 80% fiber, contains no fat, and only a small amount of carbohydrate. Due to the high level of fiber, agar is used as a dietary aid to promote fullness. China grass pudding is a low calorie, delicious dessert.

INGREDIENTS:
  • China grass/ Agar Agar/ Gelatin plain - 1 tsp 
  • Milk [low fat] - 1 cup [100 ml]
  • Water - ½ cup [50 ml]
  • Walnut / almond [crushed]  - ½ tsp
  • Fruit Puree [berries, banana, dates] - 2 tsp
DIRECTIONS:
Step 1 In a bowl, take ½ cup of water, add the gelatin & soak it until fully dissulved.  Step 2 Warm it on low heat if needed to ensure the gelatin has completely dissulved. Step 3 In the meantime, boil milk & add the fresh fruit pulp once the milk is at room temperature. Step 4 Now add this china grass water through the strainer to the milk & pulp mixture. Warm this mixture & shake well for a minute. Set this mixture in a bowl, add the nuts & refrigerate for 30 minutes to 1 hour. It would be well set. Remove and serve immediately.
