This is a bowl of soothing and warm chicken soup with chicken pieces boiled with selected whole spices and fish sauce. The lean protein in chicken and nutrients from added vegetables work to boost the strength when the body is feeling drained of energy. This soup also helps in providing easily digestible minerals, aids digestion, increases the efficacy of protein use and boosts the immune system.

INGREDIENTS:
  • Chicken - 75gm 
  • Finely chopped spring onion green - 2 tbsp 
  • Chopped spring onion bulb - 2
  • Chopped carrot - 2 small 
  • Finely chopped Spinach leaves (palak) - 1 cup
  • Ginger - 1 inch 
  • Lemon leaves - 5-7 nos.
  • Lemon juice - 2 tbsp 
  • Fresh red chillies - 2 nos.
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Turmeric - 1/2 tsp
DIRECTIONS:
Step 1 Add chicken, salt, and turmeric in a vessel and boil for 5-7 minutes.  Step 2 Remove the chicken pieces and shred them into small pieces. Keep the water aside (can be used as chicken stock) Step 3 In a pan add the spring onion green, spring onion bulb, carrot, spinach, ginger, lime leaves, red chillies, lemon juice, chicken stock or water and boil it for 10-15minutes.  Step 4 Remove in a bowl and serve hot.
