Drumsticks help in boosting the functioning of the gall bladder, which helps to maintain the blood sugar levels in the body.  Drumsticks improve bone density. Fibre is another very important nutrient in drumsticks that helps in keeping your bowel movement on track. Apart from that, they also have other B vitamins like niacin, riboflavin and vitamin B12, which are important to ensure you don’t have gastric issues.

INGREDIENTS:
  • Moringa drumsticks [slit] - 5 to 6 pieces
  • Onion [chopped] - 3 tbsp
  • Tomato [chopped] - 1 tbsp
  • Coriander [chopped] - 1 tbsp
  • Garlic [whole] - 4 to 5 cloves
  • Ginger [grated] - 1 tsp
  • Red chili powder - ¼ tsp
  • Turmeric powder - ¼ tsp 
  • Garam masala - ¼ tsp
  • Mustard seeds - ¼ tsp 
  • Cumin seeds - ¼ tsp 
  • Curry leaves [crushed] - 4 to 5 nos.
  • Oil - 1 tsp
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Water - as required

DIRECTIONS:
Step 1 Rinse, peel and chop the drumsticks into 3 to 4 inches pieces long. Step 2 In a blender, add onion, tomato, ginger, and garlic. Blend it into a very fine paste. Step 3 Take a pan, heat oil, and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and curry leaves, let the seeds pop nicely, later add the paste and all the spices and mix well. Step 4 Let it cook until it's gulden brown.  Step 5 Once the mixture is cooked nicely, add drumsticks and water to get the thin curry-like consistency. Add salt and cover the pan with a lid and let it cook for 15 -20 mins on low flame.  Step 6 Add chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti!
