Chicken is high in protein, low in sodium, and is a good source of blood-building vitamin B6, bone-strengthening phosphorus, and cell-protecting selenium. The addition of the richest herbal superfood cilantro, not just adds flavor to the grilled chicken tenders but also contributes to providing healthy fats, making the dish overall very heart-friendly.

INGREDIENTS:
  • Boneless chicken - 50g
  • Lime juice - 1 tsp
  • Low sodium soy sauce - 1 tsp
  • Oil - ½ tsp
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Chilli powder - ½ tsp
DIRECTIONS:
Step 1 Whisk lime juice, soy sauce, oil, and chili powder in a large bowl.  Step 2 Marinate the chicken and keep it aside.  Step 3 Preheat grill to medium-high. Meanwhile, place cilantro, sesame seeds, and the reserved marinade in a grinder and process until fairly smooth. Oil the grill rack.  Step 4 Grill the chicken until cooked and no longer pink in the middle, about 2 minutes per side.  Step 5 Serve the chicken with the cilantro-sesame pesto.
