The burger is a blend of corn and chickpeas which are protein and fiber-rich leading to high satiety. Chickpeas are rich in folate and manganese. Onions are prebiotic which improve gut health. Corn contains a high amount of carbohydrates which provide you with short term and long term energy. They also ensure the proper functioning of the brain and nervous system.

INGREDIENTS:
  • Sweet Corn kernels (boiled) - ¼ cup 
  • Kabuli Chana (soaked and boiled) - ¼ cup 
  • Maida (to be dissolved in water)- 1 tsp 
  • Rolled Oats - 2 tsp
  • Breadcrumbs (for a rolling) - 1 tbsp
  • Besan - 15 g 
  • Chilli powder - ¼ tsp 
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black Pepper powder - to taste
  • Oil for shallow frying 
  • For The Green Spread:
  • Coriander leaves (dhania) 
  • Green Chillies (chopped)- 1 katori  
  • Onions (chopped) - 1 no
  • Lemon juice - ½ tsp 
DIRECTIONS:
Step 1 Combine the coriander, green chillies, onions, salt and lemon juice and blend in a mixer to a coarse paste using ½ tbsp of water. Keep it aside in the refrigerator. Step 2 For the cutlets- Heat the oil in a non-stick pan add sweet corn and sauté on a medium flame for 1 minute.  Step 3 Add the kabuli chana, besan, oats, chilli powder, salt, and pepper, mix well and sauté on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes. Keep aside to coul.  Step 4 Add 1 tbsp of water and blend in a mixer to a coarse mixture.  Step 5 Transfer the mixture into a bowl and shape into a circle of (3”) diameter and 1 cm thickness.  Step 6 Dip cutlet in the maida mixture and rull in the bread crumbs till it is evenly coated from all the sides.  Step 7 Heat the oil, shallow fry the cutlet till it turns gulden brown in culour on both sides.  Step 8 Drain on absorbent paper and keep aside.  Step 9 Serve with green chutney and burger buns.
