A low calorie, low-fat soup flavored with some herbs and spices.A perfect dish for all weight watchers. Since the soup is rich in vegetables, which are sources of fiber-helps in eliminating wastes and also provides the feeling of fullness. Vegetables are also rich in anti-oxidants helps to reduce cancer risks, moisture in vegetables replenishes body fluids, are also low in fats so can be indulged as much as one wants to.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Cabbage, shredded - 30g
  • Olive oil - 1/2 tsp
  • Onion ,diced - 10g
  • Garlic, chopped - 5g
  • Ginger, chopped - 5g
  • Leek / corainder leaves chopped - 10g
  • Vegetable stock / Plain water - 100ml
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper powder - 1/4th tsp

DIRECTIONS:
Step 1 Heat oil in a deep non-stick pan, add onion, garlic, ginger, leeks, and saute for three to four minutes.  Step 2 Add cabbage, mix well and cook for five minutes. Step 3 Add vegetable stock, mix well and simmer for ten to fifteen minutes. Add salt and black pepper powder, mix well and cook for a minute. Serve piping hot.
