Bengal gram flour is a good protein source and is rich in fibre. Many health benefits of tomatoes can be attributed to their wealth of nutrients and vitamins, including an impressive amount of vitamins A, C, and K. Asafoetida also known as hing is a good source of fibre and has several antiviral and antibacterial properties. Spices not only just excite your taste buds but are composed of an impressive list of phytonutrients, essential oils, antioxidants, minerals and vitamins that are essential for overall wellness.

INGREDIENTS:
  • Besan [Bengal gram flour] - 20g
  • Tomato pulp - 3 tbsp
  • Asafoetida - ¼ tsp
  • Turmeric powder - ¼ tsp
  • Chilli powder -  ½ tsp
  • Black pepper [freshly ground] ¼ tsp 
  • Oil - ½  tsp
  • Salt -  as per to taste
DIRECTIONS:
Step 1 Combine all the ingredients in a deep bowl, mix well and knead into a soft dough without using any water. Step 2 Shape the dough into a cylindrical rull, fill the dough into the press" and press out thin strands onto a greased baking tray. Step 3 Bake in a pre-heated oven at 200°C [400° F] for 10 minutes,  Step 4 Coul, break them into pieces, store in an air-tight container and use as required.
