Paneer tikka is one of the most popular vegetarian healthy tandoor dishes. Bell peppers used are loaded with various vitamins and minerals and are exceptionally rich in vitamin C. Yoghurt is an excellent source of protein. The spices and herbs used in this dish, not just provide necessary flavor and nutrients but also give relieve from common health problems and strengthen your body's immune system. Also adding green bell pepper, onion and tomato make it more colorful and nutritious.

INGREDIENTS:
  • Paneer - 20 g
  • Red bell pepper - ½ small
  • Yellow bell pepper - ½ small
  • Green bell pepper - ½ small 
  • Onion - ½ small
For the marinade:
  • Greek yogurt - 1 tbsp.
  • Ginger garlic paste / crushed ginger garlic - ½ tsp.
  • Ajwain/carom seeds - ¼ tsp.
  • Kashmiri red chilli powder - ¼ tsp.
  • Turmeric powder/ Haldi - ¼ tsp.
  • Jeera powder/ cumin seeds powder - ¼ tsp.
  • Dhania powder/ coriander powder - ¼ tsp.
  • Dry mango powder/amchur powder ( optional ) - ¼ tsp.
  • Chaat masala - ¼ tsp.
  • Lemon juice - 1 tbsp.
  • Rock salt or black salt to  taste

DIRECTIONS:
Step 1 Chop the paneer into square-shaped cubes. Step 2 The veggies should be diced in equal shape. Keep the chopped veggies and paneer aside.For the marinade: Step 3 In a large bowl, take the curd and whisk it till it becomes smooth Step 4 Add ginger-garlic paste and all the spice powders plus ajwain, including black salt. Step 5 Mix the spice powders with the curd. Step 6 Add the veggies and paneer to the marinade. Step 7 Marinate for at least 30 min or more in the refrigerator. Step 8 Remove after 30min and bring the marinated paneer and veggies at room temperature. Step 9 Skew the veggies and paneer alternately on skewers or toothpicks. Step 10 Preheat the oven for 3 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius. Step 11 On a rack or a plate arrange the paneer skewers. Brush some oil on the veggies and paneer. Step 12 Bake the paneer tikka for 5-7 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius. Step 13 Arrange the paneer tikka on a plate. Sprinkle some chaat masala on it.
