This stir-fried crumbled paneer with chopped tomatoes, onions and light Indian spices is a delightful flavourful dish with a quick and hassle-free preparation. Paneer bhurji's great taste combined with its nutritional benefits makes it very popular in Indian homes. The nutritional value of paneer bhurji comes from its high protein content in paneer. 

INGREDIENTS:

  • Paneer, smashed  - 30 g 
  • Cumin seeds  - 1 tsp 
  • Onions, chopped - ½ cup
  • Tomato, chopped - ½ cup
  • Pav bhaji masala - ½ tsp 
  • Turmeric powder  - ¼ tsp 
  • Chili powder - ½ tsp 
  • Green chilies, chopped -  1 tsp 
  • Coriander leaves chopped -  1 tbsp 
  • Oil - 1 tsp
  • Salt - as per to taste

DIRECTIONS:
Step 1 Heat the oil on a tawa and add the cumin seeds. When the seeds crackle, add the onions and saute on a high flame for 1 to 2 minutes. Step 2 Add chopped tomatoes, 30 ml of water, mix well and cook on a slow flame for 2 to 3 minutes, while stirring continuously. Add the pav bhaji masala, turmeric powder, chili powder, green chilies and 30 ml of water, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes, while stirring continuously.  Step 3 Now add paneer, salt and coriander and 15 ml of water, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes, while stirring occasionally.  Step 4 Serve it hot.
