Khyati's Health-O-Meter Says:

Jowar, bajra&wheat  flour rotis flavored with garlic is a very good combination. Jowar and bajra are rich in iron, vitamin B & E, potassium, zinc, calcium, magnesium, iron, and fiber. Being comparatively dry this roti is recommended for lunch or dinner with dal/pulse/ curd. The use of garlic in diet is very less in most of the population, hence it is used as a predominant flavor in this method. This aromatic herb is not only good for reducing cholesterol but it actually aids in digestion, you can also add some fresh coriander leaves to add some colour to the rotis.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Jowar flour [white millet] - 1 tbsp
  • Bajra flour [black millet] - 1 tsp
  • Whole wheat flour - 1 tbsp
  • Fresh garlic 4-5 pods - [finely chopped]
  • Salt use minimum, to taste

DIRECTIONS:
Step 1 Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and knead into a dough adding warm water as required.  Step 2 This dough will not be very pliable and you will not be able to knead it very much. Step 3 Divide the dough into 2 equal portions and rull out each portion into circles approx. 4" to 5" in diameter.  Step 4 Cook each roti on a nonstick tava (griddle) till both sides are gulden brown. Step 5 Serve hot.
