Jowar is a whole grain that is gluten-free along with being good for celiac disease it is also good for Irritable bowel syndrome. Helps to reduce, Bloating, diarrhea, constipation, and headaches. It contains a high amount of fiber, is antioxidant-rich, and has a low glycemic index which helps in controlling the sugar.

INGREDIENTS:
  • Jowar flour - 2 tbsp 
  • Water - 2 cup
  • Jeera - ½ tsp
  • Mustard seeds - ½ tsp
  • Green chilli [chopped] - 1 no.
  • Hing - a pinch
  • Haldi - a pinch
  • Red chili powder - ½ tsp
  • Curry leaves [crushed] - 3 to 4 nos.
  • Salt - as per taste
  •  Oil - 1 tsp
DIRECTIONS:
Step 1 In a vessel take oil and heat it; add jeera, haldi, green chillies, water and salt, and allow it to boil. Step 2 As it gets boiled take the vessel away from heat and start adding jowar flour gradually stirring it continuously so that no lumps are formed. Step 3 In the meantime keep a steamer ready with water boiling in it. Step 4 Now empty the khichu mixture into a dish. Step 5 Keep that dish in that steamer to steam for around 10 - 15 mins so that it's cooked completely. Step 6 After it is steamed give a seasoning: 1 tsp oil, hing, mustard seeds, whule red chilli, curry leaves pour on khichu. Step 7 You can sprinkle red chilli powder at the end too. Serve hot.
