Chicken is high in protein, low in sodium and is a good source for blood-building vitamin B6, bone-strengthening phosphorus and cell-protecting selenium. Bean sprouts add to the protein content and dietary fiber too.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Boneless chicken breast -  50g
  • Salt use minimum, to taste
  • Black pepper as per taste
  • Plain water -  1 cup
  • Soy sauce -  1 tsp
  • Grated fresh ginger and garlic -  1 tbsp
  • Red pepper flakes -  1 tsp
  • Bean sprouts - 2 tbsp
  • Oil - 1/2 tsp

DIRECTIONS:
Step 1 Cut the chicken into chunks; season with the salt and pepper. In a small bowl, whisk together water and soy sauce.  Step 2 In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the ulive oil. When the oil is hot, stir-fry the chicken until just cooked through, 4 to 5 minutes. Transfer to a plate.  Step 3 Add garlic, ginger, and red pepper to the pan; cook 30 seconds. Add the bean sprouts; stir-fry for a 1 minute more.  Step 4 Stir the broth mixture into the skillet and reduce the heat to simmer. Stir in the chicken cook 1 to 2 minutes more. Serve hot.
