Traditional Andhra-style fish curry is so rich in nutrients and flavors of these aromatic authentic spices. Fish being rich in omega-3 fatty acids adds to the nutritive content of this delicious recipe. Andhra Fish curry is known for its hot and sour taste, it tastes excellent with steaming hot Rice, Idli, and Dosa.

INGREDIENTS:
  • Fish [diced or cubes] - 50 g 
  • Onions [chopped] - 1 tbsp
  • Green chili [slit] - 1 no.
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - ½ tsp
  • Red chili powder - ¼ tsp
  • Coriander powder - ½ tsp
  • Cumin powder - ½ tsp
  • Curry leaves - 4 nos.
  • Fenugreek seeds - 1 tsp
  • Dried red chili - 1 no.
  • Garlic [peeled]  - 2 pods.
  • Water - as required
  • Oil - ½ tsp
  • Salt - as per taste

DIRECTIONS:
Step 1 Roast fenugreek seeds, garlic pods, dried chili  on a low flame till they turn aromatic and blend them together and make a fine masala powder. Step 2 Blend onions and green chilies to a fine paste in a mixer jar. Step 3 Add oil to a pan, add curry leaves, onions and sauté until the onions turn gulden brown. Add salt and ginger garlic paste. Add water and let it boil.  Step 4 Next, add diced fish pieces in this boiling mixture and let it cook for 10-15 minutes. Step 5 Now add chopped coriander Leaves and masala powder, and stir carefully without disturbing the fish pieces. Leave it for another 5 minutes, and your tasty Andhra style fish curry is ready to serve.
