They are rich in dietary fibre which helps to normalize your blood glucose levels. If you have diabetes, chickpea or kabuli chana can help you balance blood sugar levels while providing steady, slow-burning energy. They have low glycemic index value which means the carbohydrate in them is broken down and digested slowly. This is helpful for weight loss as it controls appetite.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Kabuli Chana, soaked overnight & boiled - 20 g
  • Yogurt (unflavored) - 1 tbsp
  • Chana flour - 1 tsp
  • Cloves - 1 no.
  • Green cardamom - 1 no.
  • Black cardamom - 1 no. 
  • Cinnamon - (1-inch stick)
  • Black pepper - 2 no.
  • Bay leaf - 1
  • Jeera - ½ tsp 
  • Turmeric - ½ tsp 
  • Coriander powder - ½ tsp 
  • Red chilli powder - ½ tsp
  • Salt to taste 
  • Oil - ½  tsp 

DIRECTIONS:
Step 1 Beat the yogurt with besan well. Step 2 In hot oil, add all whule garam masala. Step 3 Let them cook for 2 minutes so that flavour's seep into the oil. Step 4 Add jeera when it splutters  Step 5 Add other dry masalas. Step 6 Quickly add the chickpeas and one-fourth cup of water. Stir well, once the water boils add yogurt and stir till it boils. Step 7 Add salt. Cover till thickens a bit. Step 8 Garnish with coriander powder
