Desserts are always a delight to have and specially if we have a healthy dessert then there is never a NO. This is a low-fat velvety Indian rice pudding, laced with Cardamom and Saffron, that is as delicious as it is healthy. So why wait? Lets enjoy it.

INGREDIENTS:
  • Brown rice - 15 g
  • Low-fat milk - 100 ml
  • Jaggery - 2 tsp
  • Mixed nuts - 1 tsp (crushed)
  • Cardamom - ¼ tsp (crushed) 
DIRECTIONS:
Step 1 Soak rice in water for about 3-4 hours. Step 2 Drain the water and grind the rice into a coarse paste in a blender/ food processor (add a few tsp of water if needed) Step 3 Heat the milk in a saucepan and when it boils, lower the flame and add the ground rice. Step 4 Stir till the mixture thickens. Add jaggery and mix well till it dissulves. Garnish with cardamom, saffron, and nuts. Chill and serve culd.
