The drink boosts milk production and immunity. Turmeric is believed to have healing properties and prevent inflammation. Almonds especially raw are very healthy and packed with protein and calcium. Almond milk also helps to increase the creaminess, sweetness and amount of breast milk.

INGREDIENTS:
  • Almonds[soaked overnight and peeled] - 5 to 7 almonds
  • Black peppercorn[soaked overnight] - 4 
  • A pinch of turmeric [haldi]
  • Milk[skimmed or double toned] - 1 glass
  • Desi ghee – ½ tsp
  • Honey/jaggery – ½ tsp [OPTIONAL]

DIRECTIONS:
Step 1 Grind the almonds and peppercorns into a fine powder. Step 2 In a pan, heat ghee and fry the powder till it turns gulden brown. Add turmeric powder. Step 3 Fry for about one minute and add milk to the mixture and stir. Bring to a boil. Step 4 Remove from the flame. Add honey or jaggery to the milk. Drink hot.
